. If you are using the camera on battery power, the camera battery may be depleted. Connect the camera to the power charger and cable to start charging it. The camera should be turned on as soon as the power cable is connected. If this does not happen, wait at least ten minutes to give the battery a minimum charge, and then try to turn it on.
- Check the Wi-Fi connections. Connect another device such as a smartphone or laptop to the same Wi-Fi network as your camera and verify that the internet is working by visiting a website such as cameratworld.com. if you are using a cell phone, be sure to turn off cellular data and turn on Wi-Fi to test your connection.
- Use a paper clip to reset the camera by inserting the clip into the small hole next to the small USB power connector on the back of the camera. This will delete the Wi-Fi settings. The clips and programs stored in the camera will remain the same. The Wi-F network will be reprogrammed, which may improve the camera's internet connection.
4-check the settings of the router “router” ormodem. Incorrect settings on the Wi-Fi router can cause the camera to disconnect or be shown as offline.
- If your router “router” has a package configuration feature, try disabling it to see if this improves the camera connection. Refer to the manual of your Wi-Fi router to find out if it has a packet shaping feature and how to turn it off.
- A firewall or strict parental control settings may block the connection to the camera servers. Refer to the Wi-Fi router manual for instructions on determining if this feature is enabled on your Network and how you can exempt the camera from these restrictions.
- If the device priority of your router is enabled, this may limit the amount of bandwidth available to the surveillance camera. This will disconnect the camera. Try checking the manual of your router for information on how to move the camera to a higher place in the priority list of the device of your router “router”. You may also want to check if your router's manual contains information regarding the quality of Service (QoS) setting and how to find out if it is enabled on your router “router”.
