VoIP stands for Voice over IP. VoIP is a modern form of business communication, providing businesses across the UK with high quality voice calls using their broadband connection.
Before VoIP, businesses required multiple lines to make simultaneous calls, as well as a dedicated broadband line. However, VoIP removes the requirement for these additional lines, using your broadband connection to make and receive calls.
These new ‘VoIP lines’ are called SIP Trunks, as you can see from our diagram below.
